General question about sound libraries and instruments in Logic

I'm not familiar with the 'Nord' sound. But I would hold on to it a bit, until you are comfortable with the sounds in Logic, and then decide whether to keep it or not. There are a lot of good sounds in Logic, but most people start to look elsewhere for additional sounds.. I Love "Lounge Lizards" epiano over Logic's, and NI B4 over Logic's organ, but with some songs, I gravitate back to Logic's internal instruments, cause sometimes they 'fit in the arrangement better'

The plug-in "Ivory" makes a great piano, (it's mega gig large) - but depending on your arrangement, you might get by with Exs's grand piano. Again, it depends on your taste.. and your budget

I see this type of question all the time.
It doesn't matter.

When someone listens to your song it doesn't matter what type of instrument you use, real or not.
If the melody isn't there, no one is going to remember your song.

You know when you get the song right when people hum it while walking, taking the bus, etc...
What they don't talk about is, hey, Sweetsonic used a pretty good Nord on that one song....

Buy Logic 8 cause the massive amount of instruments you get with it will help you explore other instruments, which can lead to a creative song.

Look at the Beatles, when George Harrison experimented with the Sitar, they got more classic songs.

Yes - Logic definitely competes with the real stuff. They sounded good enough to make me sell my Fender Rhodes.

I like the Nord for some live stuff when I don't want to use my laptop but I rarely record with the Nord when I'm in the studio. I like Logic's instruments for that.

When doing live stuff, nothing beats a real instrument.

For my money the Clavia Wurly is the best emulation I have ever played and matches the keyboard perfectly - I'm going to get one because I'm not as happy with EVP - but that's just me. I would definitely not get rid until you have tried both,
