Izotope RX Spectral Repair

Why doesn't Logic Pro 8.0.2 support offline plugins and/or support them with sample-accuracy required by Spectral Repair AU? Will Logic Pro ever be able to capture audio, allow me to repair the audio, and finally commit my edits back to Logic Pro. DUY Magic Spectrum and MagicEQ LE require operation in a similar fashion and they work with Logic Pro 8.0.2.

Info from Izotope, RX Spectral Repair List of Compatible Hosts at http://www.izotope.com/support/center/?mod_id=2&id=376

"- Logic does not offer destructive edits using Audio Units, only realtime track and bus inserts.

- Garageband does not offer destructive edits using Audio Units."

Soundtrack Pro is a supported host and WaveBurner is not mentioned or supported. Logic is Pro and GarageBand is entry level, so when will Apple Logic Pro and Emagic development teams offer the feature/enhancement/option for destructive editing with Audio Units with Logic Pro (Logic Pro Feature Suggestion)?

If sample processing edits (silence, normalising, reverse etc) are destructive in Logic Pro. Then, is Izotope wrong by stating Logic is not capable for destructive editing?

Logic does not allow destructive editing using "Plugins".
I've wished for this for years, used to write the Emagic guys.
That's why I use Cubase for audio work, has a fantastic audio editor with every editing function and available plugin ready for use with a single right click.

A little off topic maybe but I use RX very successfully and have it setup as my external sample editor in the Logic prefs. I hit shift+w to open a file in RX, do my edits in there, hit save when I'm done, back in Logic the waveform is redrawn and I continue with my project. When using the iZotope Plugs I normally render the files right away and reimport them or Bus record them into the project and get rid of the Plugs again.

The therm "PRO" in Logic is related with Professional DAW for Professional Musician Composer and Arranger

this is a typical misunderstanding of sound engeeners
Logic is not an Audio Editor..

Logic is not only focused to professional Audio Editing... (Logic Studio bundle is not only Logic... ther is MainStage and STP... Logic Studio is a complete bundle for Professionals including audio destructive editing)
or (I agree with sampleconstruct) exist in logic a preference that allow you to open your desidered Editor such as SoundTrack Pro or external editors the you can choose as you prefer

Logic is a Professional environments where is possible to create TOP QUALITY MUSIC for scoring for a real Synphonic Orchestra...
I know personnally a LOT of professional Conductor and Producer.. (some of them are very FAMOUS and they work on National TV broscasting or film/movie ... They use LOGIC PRO

As you know logic is used by Top musician, Composer, arranger in all over the world
--------------
(The therm PRO in pro tools is related with TOOLS not with Musician...)
Pro Tools is for Pro Sound Engeener it is not focused to Musician...
------------

About iZotope RX... it works as editor for cleaning audio tracks.. this is a Suond Engeener JOB... it works as standalone and can be used in Logic as Editor..

Historically Logic Pro was born for musician, Pro Tools for Sound Engeener
there are no sense to continue to claim and write phrases like "Logic PRO is not PRO"...
this is absolutely not true ... because Pro musician prefer to made our job in Logic

there are tons of song in MTV or iTunes... there are hits on Bilboard Charts the was made with LOGIC PRO!!!!

Think different.... Logic is different... there are unique powerful awesome pro composing feature in Logic Pro that you cannot find in other DAWs

you are free to use your prefered audio Editor... Logic Pro allow you to choose your favourite...
don't forget SoundTrack pro is a part of LOGIC STUDIO bundle
