Powerbook G4 12" Fans running on High after update

Hi all. I just finished a pushed update (and I apologize, as I do not even remember what was updated), but as soon as the update finished and the software installed, the fans started (and continue after several shutdowns) to run at high speed. Is there a way to see what was updated and how to remove that update as it is obviously causing some serious issues with my computer. Thanks very much!
