Do all LED LCD's connect to the inverter at the bottom of the display?

I ordered a replacement LCD from a shady company called Screenaid. The LCD they sent me did not connect to the inverter at the bottom of the display like my model uses. It simply does not fit.

The company is being reluctant to issue me a refund, saying that it's my fault that I ordered the wrong screen. They matched up the model numbers and said that my previous LCD was a WXGA and the one listed on their website clearly says WSXGA- *but that has nothing to do with the display connections, that's just resolution, right?* The details they advertised are that it's a *17" Macbook Pro Compatible WSXGA LED LCD*.

If that was true, and it was indeed a macbook pro LED LCD, then wouldn't it have had the video connector at the bottom?

Thanks people!

I fix them all, Mac OS 8.6 or Earlier, i like donuts

Are you trying to install an LED backlit LCD panel into an older, CCFL backlit MacBook Pro? That's not gonna work, regardless of the connector location. The LEDs in newer MBPs are not driven by an inverter, which is a high voltage DC/AC power supply. LEDs are driven by a low voltage DC/DC converter. Your MBP doesn't have the right type of circuit to drive one of those.
