Illustrator CS3 keeps crashing with a KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x00000000

Am running Illustrator CS3. I can open it with no problems but then any time from about 5 minutes to approx an hour it will crash. I have copied the report from the error below. Any help on this would be appreciated as I use this for my work and have only recently moved onto an apple. I have copied to thread 14 which crashed.
