Adding videos to iTunes

Hi,

so I put all my files to an external hard drive.
Now I've got a problem with videos.

I've got .mpg , avi. , wmv. , asf. ... all kinds of videofiles.
*iTunes only accepts mp4 and mpg files.*
It won't let me drag them all to the library.
Do I have to change the video type to something else and how do i do it or what should i do?

Windows XP

You've more or less answered your own post "iTunes only accepts mp4 and mpg files". If your videos are not in an iTunes compatible format then you'll need to convert them to a format that is iTunes compatible if you want to add them to your library. If you put "video files to iTunes" into your favourite search engine you'll probably get numerous hits for ways to convert the files:
