Adobe Flash Player with 10.3.9

I have an iBook G4 10.3.9, and among several other problems, I am unable to download any Adobe Flash Player higher than 7.0. I haven't been able to watch videos on any website for a while, but now I can't even listen to music online. I've read several posts on here about 10.3.9 and adobe flash player 10, and know my computer can not download that, but it should be able to take version 9 right? When I download and try to open adobe 9 it says "There was an error opening this document. There was a Macintosh system error (-1409)" and "Adobe Reader could not open 'flashper.xpt' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged". Any advice or help would be wonderful! Thanks.

HI Lindsay,

You need to be running Tiger (10.4) in order to use Adobe Flash that can be used for video. See minimum requirements here; http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/productinfo/systemreqs/flashplayer9/

*"When I download and try to open adobe 9 it says "There was an error opening this document. There was a Macintosh system error (-1409)" and "Adobe Reader could not open 'flashper.xpt' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged"."*

Since you are running Panther, that's why you are seeing this dialog.
