Good portable speaker system for ipod touch 1st gen.

Any recommendations on a good portable speaker system for my ipod touch 1st generation? I am considering the Altec IM 600. seems to get good reviews.

I had one of the first Altec portable iPod speakers, put many miles on it and really liked it. A speaker wire finally broke on it and after shopping around I replaced it with this:

Really good sound, works with all iPods (including my iPhone 3G, I've gone about 10,000 driving miles with this one. 5 stars.

this is the one i have

it doesn't fit the ipod touch too well, and you have to have it upside down as the headphone socket is at the bottom, unlike on other ipods where it's at the top. but it does the job.
