How to download movies on ipod touch

when you right click on it, is there an option to 'create ipod/iphone version'? if so, you need to do it.

Movies purchased from the iTunes Store should not need to be converted to play on a Touch.

Are you syncing your music or manually managing it? What settings are you using to sync movies? What exactly is happening when you try to sync? What error messages, if any, are you getting?

The more information you can provide, the better the answers you'll get.

I've purchased two movies online at iTunes (The Da Vinci COde and Hellboy II). When I downloaded the first movie, it kept timing at once all GB where downloaded, no time remaining, when it finally complete (or so I thought it had) I tried to drop the movie in my iPod Touch and I received an error message that I was not able to put the movie in my version of iPod which I just dont understand.

The second movie is doing the same as the first in regards to it timing out. Now the first movie is not evening showing up in my downloads. Any ideas? I am not the most technical person, but i followed all steps when syncing so i believe it has been done correctly.

In one paragraph you say you tried to drag and drop the movie to your Touch, in the other you talk about syncing. Can you clarify? Are you manually managing your media or syncing it. Can you post the exact wording of the error message? Are these actually purchased movies? Or are they rentals? Is iTunes saying that the download is complete? If not, if it somehow went bad, the resulting, corrupt file might not transfer.

Ok. I will do my best to clarify. When I referred to syncing I was speaking of when I first set up my iPod, outside of that I am not 100% educated on syncing. Therefore I have to assume I am manually managing my media.

When i drag the movie from my Library and try to drop into my iPod under Devisces. The exact wording of the error message was this:

“Hellboy II: The Golden Army” was not copied to the iPod “Michael’s iPod” because it cannot be played on this iPod

Both movies were purchases, they were not rentals. The movie shows up in my Library, however in the Downloads portion of my Store the status says zero KB of 1.37GB – stopped (err = .3259). This however showed up after the file download was completed. I went through iTunes.com to purchase the movie.

Instead of dragging and dropping, try Add to Library from the iTunes File menu. Then see if it will sync to your iPod.

Thanks Fred. So I am sure to be in the right area, where do i access the iTunes File menu?

I have a Mac and you a PC. But, I think it is in the same place: a pulldown menu on the iTunes application. File is at the top left.
