changing safari search engine or changing to a uk based one.

iv an annoying issue that when i do a search in the google search bar i only get us results and not ones that are based on my area i.e in the uk.
this is more annoying if searching for an item im maybe looking for to buy because ill get it ONLY in dollers $ and not uk pounds £
is there any way of changing it to a uk one or a different one??
