Question

"iTunes could not connect to the iPod "iPod touch" because an unknown error

I bought an ipod touch today, hooked it up, and got this error

"iTunes could not connect to the iPod "iPod touch" because an unknown error occurred 0xE8000001)."

Has anyone else had an experience like this?

macbook (black), Mac OS X (10.5.2)

i got the same error on my itunes, when i tried to connect my i-pod touch. i even tried trouble shooting tips and nothing helped

Yeah! Same here... It's like when I connect my Touch to the computer and open itunes, it just freezes and i have to click the close button all the time... It's really annoying. It just happened a couple of days ago.

You know something... My friend had like tried restarting his Ipod touch and since then he hasn't talked about it ever again... Do you think that restarting the touch fully will help it to connect again???

same problem.
but it reads my ipod touch as "iPhone"

it is really annoying.
i've tried restarting the computer, turning on and off the ipod and unplugging it and plugging it back in numerous times.
