i Crucial memory is also worth considering. I think its actually Samsung branded though.
Crucial is really just a retail division of Micron Technology. The large majority of their memory carries the Micron and Crucial labels. Sometimes they will sell another brand (like Samsung) if they have a shortage of Micron-branded parts or if they have a particular application that gets along better with another company's modules.
Crucial is good stuff, but they are currently charging $181.23 for the 1GB chip. That is outrageous!
I have been using
Patriot RAM from newegg.com for almost a year in my first gen iMac without a hitch. Less than $100 right now.
EDIT - just saw the "UK" part and newegg.com does not ship internationally. There has to be a local retailer that can get the Patriot RAM for you if you want.

If you're willing to buy from Newegg, they are a reseller of Crucial modules. The PC3200 1 GB DIMM is $106.50 US at this moment. Of course buying from Newegg means more research because of the fees associated with returns if it doesn't work. I've read enough memory threads that I believe many people have reported that this exact part number works in the iMac G5s requiring PC3200 DIMMs.
I guess a lot of people get ticked off with Crucial because of their "dynamic pricing" structure that changes by the day/hour and apparently charges different prices for the same (or similar) modules depending on application.
