I simply want to enter ISBN numbers from books into a word processing window by speaking them. Is there anything available yet for Macintosh that allows me to do this simple task?

ibook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

Thanks. I was hoping for something less expensive. It just seems silly that with all the wonderful advancement in technology and science, someone has still not developed an application for this. I look at all the free, cool apps available for the iphone, and yet, no one can invent a simple piece of software that can do this.

Might want to try delicious at delicious-monster.com

Instead of saying the number you can use a camera to scan the barcode. I don't know if that's possible with your mac, but it's worth a mention.

There is nothing simple about understanding human speech, and anyone who's any good at it probably has at least a couple PhDs to pay for, so you can forget about any dreams you might be having about $5 shareware dictation apps flooding the market.
