Connecting a Fujitsu fi-5110C Scanner to an imac?

Hi,

I am thinking of buying an imac - yep have been a windows user so far- perhaps its not too late to switch 😉

So I am wondering how I can make sure that my printer and scanner run with the imac. Is there a website to check compatible models or find out whether mac provides drivers?

The scanner is a Fujitsu fi-5110c. Printer is from HP model Officejet Pro K550. I guess the printer should not be a problem. But what's with the scanner? More info on it: http://193.128.183.41/home/v3__product.asp?pid=429&inf=swr&wg=46

Already found the solution to the printer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1893 . But how can i check with the scanner? As far as I see it is TWAIN compatible but I dont have a MAC OS driver...

Any help is appreciated.

You can check with Fujitsu to see if they make drivers for OS X or you can also try Vuescan. I was able to locate this for you:

They have a list of scanners they support however I did not see yours on it, I would recommend contacting them to double check though.

Thanks I think I would give it a try, when I buy the mac. Its a pity that I cannot be sure beforehand...

Hi, I tried it and it worked. However I do not have full functionality of the scanner. Thus I use VM Ware Fusion now with the scanner...
