Solo track does not solo busses ??

Posted this a while ago, but the workaround I was given doesn't work.

The problem:

If you want to bounce (or just listen) to let's say Track1. It is being Sent to let's say Bus1(a reverb).
You would Solo Track1.
But even if the track is Solo'd you still hear every other track that happens to be
Sent to Bus1.

Workaround#1: de-activate all Sends on all other tracks besides Track1, then you can listen.
Obviously a horrible workaround.

Workaround#2: Solo the Regions.
Also unacceptable, and here's why: It's simple. Solo the Regions, then select a track to tweak its settings. What happened? All the Solo'd regions were just deselected.

Instead of a Workaround, how about the 'Logical' solution:
"Solo'd or Muted tracks, also have their Sends Solo'd and Muted, respectively. 😉

That way, a Bounce will take less than 20 minutes.
Imagine.

I've spent years suffering through this ridiculously confusing solo system as well. I've basically spent hours trying to simplify it, but I can't really seem to. The premise is simple. Here's how it should work... you press the solo button on your control surface, you only hear the soloed track(s). If they're going to give us multiple solo options, for the life of me I can't understand why that's not one. I guess it seems like a result of the design philosophy of logic to me... give the user 17 different ways to do something so they can do it the way they like. I understand that, but the end result is that I can't solo a single track without muting all other tracks feeding that bus. The simple solution is lost in a sea of complex solutions. So annoying!!! Especially now that I'm working out of the box. Honestly, I'm starting to think that because of things like this logic just gets in the way too much. I don't want to have to think about software issues when I'm working. Anyway, I know that this doesn't help, but at least you know you're not the only one.

Got cha, but I prefer using my euphonix MC Mix for muting and soloing, it's just much faster and more intuitive to push the button in front of me, imo. Plus, sometimes I do a lot of quick muting and soloing in order to develop the structure of the track, and the region mute has that long pause...

I'm not intending to "rant", I'm just agreeing that for a long time I've found this to be an aspect of logic that is cumbersome in my workflow and a place where there is room for improvement.
