Anyone tried installing Hyper-V on 2008 Mac Pro?

For an upcoming project I need to be able to run multiple Microsoft Hyper-V VM's and was wondering if anyone had tried installing the bare-metal version of Hyper-V onto a Mac Pro.

I have access to a second 2008 Mac Pro with dual 2.8, 8 core and 22 Gigs of memory, so it would be a great platform to host 10-12 VM's for this project. I had previously installed Windows 2008 Server onto a second HD on this system, and there's a Hyper-V option inside Windows 2008 Server that works, but I was hoping to blow away the 2008 Server installation and just install the bare-metal version of Hyper-V.

I know this is sacrilegious, but I really like showing the Windows faithful in the company how good a hardware server the Mac Pro is 🙂

Thanks,
Graham

Hi Graham,

Yes, and it works like **** !!

I´m running 12 VMs ( 6 server 2008/2003 / 6 xp ) on a mac pro 2008 / 26 GigRAM / full HD Capacy
