anyone know how to change mp3 to sf2

I found a tremendous website called freesound project which basically has all the effects you could be looking for. I downloaded some and thought they would work. Actually come to think of it they did show up in the dsl they just wouldn't work so that probably means it just wasn't a working soundfont cuz an mp3 couldn't show up right? Well I guess I'll just keep trying again and see if any of them work. thanks

not if you can't get it to work, no. also, it's not something i've used, so you'd want to be sure it did what you needed before spending any money.

i believe it simply lets you create SF2 files from audio files, yes.

I've actually figured out how to download them now as wav files but they go into my i-tunes and stay a wav file. Can anyone please help me to learn how to change them to sf2 so I'm able to use them in gb. Much appreciation ahead of time. Thanks

Sorry, I couldn't see the link. Are you saying that the page will open and the first question at the top is what I'm looking for. The one at the top was talking about making instruments with some kind of download is that what your talking about and I need? Thanks for the reply

thanks so very much I was able to get my wav rain effect into the trial disk and it worked. Unfortunately it does not work for the two instruments I bought that are exe. Seems I may have just thrown the money away but I gotta tell ya it was the most realistic sounding womens choir or any choir for that matter. Like a breath of fresh air. But you certainly solved my original question in this so I truly appreciate it. Thanks so much
