I've been trying to add a bonjour-shared printer-fax. Its shared from an intel iMac running the latest version of Tiger (10.4.11) and I'm on an intel iMac running the latest version of Leopard (10.5.7).

First I add the printer, set it as the default printer, and then I add the fax part. When I do this the default printer becomes last printer used. I then once again set the printer (not fax) as the default printer. The printer uses the PSC-2400 driver and the fax uses the HP Fax driver.

The problem arises when I try to print something: no matter that I have set the printer as the default or in what order I add the printer and the fax, it always comes up as HP Fax with the fax selected. If I switch from fax to the printer I get a communications error because the HP Fax driver is being used instead of the psc driver.

So, how do I get the default printer to stick, and is it possible for this combination of printer and fax to work?
