OS X 10.5.7 problem with Korg M3 USB midi driver

After updating OS X from 10.5.6 to 10.5.7 with the automatic update during the last week, I discovered yesterday that the Korg M3 USB Midi driver (1.0.8) does not work correctly anymore.
I already downloaded and installed the full combo update of 10.5.7 hoping that it might fix the problem. I also repaired permissions and checked all disks before and after that manual update (some permission were repaired and disks seemed to be ok).
I also reinstalled the midi driver with no success.

Currently the M3 shows up in midi setup and is marked as active.
The M3 editor/plugin can not detect the M3 anymore on USB and falls back to the firewire MIDI driver in my case, which still works, but is not really usable with the editor, because of it's slowlyness.

Posts on Korg forum have also been made and it is already confirmed that other M3 users have the same problem with OS X 10.5.7.
