Charging with wall charger no longer working

iphone 3g worked charged perfectly before synchronizing to macbook pro. Now it will only charge when the laptop is running, not through wall charger - yes, I tried every outlet in the house as well, same result. I am pretty sure this is user error, thanks for the suggestions.

If your iPhone charges when connected to your computer but not when connected to the wall charger, more than likely there is a problem with your wall charger.

The iPhone's one year warranty includes all package contents including the wall charger and USB cable.

If you are in the U.S., you can call AppleCare at (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

Thanks lots. Just needed a confirmation I suspected the wall charger bit to be the culprit but us newbies like to ask 🙂.
