Delegate calendars won't sync with iPhone

I have the same exact problem. Need the delegate calendars to sync with my iphone

Same deal here. I'd love to either be able to have either:
- my Google "delegate" calendars sync'd from my desktop when I dock
- have the same with over-the-air sync (either mobile me or bluetooth)
- have mobile me support for multiple calendars and sharing/subscribing (with push of course)

Go to m.google.com/sync and select the other calendars!

Well, that's /an/ approach, but doing so means reconfiguring to make Google be the master (the "system of record") for your address book and calendar data.

This is not what I want, and probably not what others want, since the iPhone's integrated calendar and address book features are really good, and have other benefits like sync over mobile me and the ability to make changes on the phone which are immediately reflected all over.

Thanks for the tip, but I'm going to hold out for a native solution.

There is no need to wait till you dock. Changes to the delegate calendars on my laptop or desktop change my google calendar

I am not sure what problems you have, but it doesn't matter which device I modify any calendar whether delegate or not ( the google calendar site, my iphone, desktop, laptop ) the changes are made almost instantly to all devices.

Jeffason, would you mind checking your iPhone (or iPod) sync settings in iTunes? In the Info tab, under the Calendars section, do your "Delegates" calendars show up? Mine do not, for me, and I'm not able to get any calendars from Google Calendar aside from the main one onto my iPod touch.

Yeah because other calenders don't work with iPhone except Uncategorized for some stupid reason

Hi all. The good news is that it looks like a solution exists with the iPhone 3.0 software, which will be generally available next week...

3.0 supports CalDAV, and as such you can subscribe directly to any single Google calendar that you normally can access, with full writability from the native calendar app.

Only hitch is that it doesn't give you delegates "for free" like the desktop iCal does. Instead, you have to set up a subscription for each one individually supplying your google username/password and the URL:

https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/<CALENDER ID>/user

... where <CALENDAR ID> is a long unreadable mishmesh which is taken from the calendar's Details>Settings>Address field

Fortunately, 3.0 also provides copy/paste, so you can work out the long URL on your desktop, and mail it to yourself for pasting into the field.

So does that mean that on my iPod touch I will be able to sync directly through the Calendar app over wifi (just like I get new email through the Mail app) rather than the current process of syncing to iCal via iTunes when physically connected? I guess I need to read a bit more about iPhone OS 3.0.
