Hey, I have a little annoying problem on my iPhone. In mail, when I receive a photo attachment and click it, it I get the spinning icon... but it never loads the photo. In order to get the photo to show up, I have to restart the phone. Any idea why this is or what I can do?
Thanks!

Mac OS X (10.5.7),
Intel, 2.8GHz, 4GB RAM, iPhone 3G
I was having the same issue as well. This worked for me (not sure if it's a fix yet or just a band-aid but it's better than restarting your phone):
- I forced Mail.app to quit by holding the power button until the red slider came up then letting go of the power button and holding the home button until I wound up back at the home screen.
When I reopened Mail the images that wouldn't load do.
Hey, thanks Evan! I've been putting off trying to fix this for weeks and weeks... I guess I must have switched it off by accident as I was scrolling through that section. Cheers. I can read the pictures again đ
If it's an IMAP or Exchange account, try removing and re-adding the account from your iPhone and see what happens. Failing that, it could be a bad incoming mail server port number, in which case you should report this to your ISP and see if they have a backup port. Sometimes they can be overprotective about letting stuff through. This probably isn't a universal remedy, but often for me it's 587 instead of 25 for incoming server, since 25 is sometimes blocked. Still, funny how you still get 'partial' messages.
My wife's iPhone 3GS has the same issue with a dot mac address and I just started having the same issue today. I restarted it and so far it seems to be working fine.
Having the same issue. My wife used her iPhone 3GS to forward an amusing email with photos to me. I can't see the photos on my phone, but we can see it on hers. Same email, both on gmail, both 3GS, both over wifi on the same router. I have tried restarting, and turning remote images off then back on. Any other ideas?
