hd movies

hd movies

I have a mac mini set up as a media center. I keep seeing that many movies are also avail in hd thru apple tv. I have an apple tv but am not using it. Is there any other way to get the movies in hd thru the itunes store on the mini?

Mac Mini, Powerbook G4, Mac OS X (10.5.7)

i too am wondering the same thing. if apple really expects me to own a mini AND an apple tv to access what appears to be a larger (apple tv exclusive)HD movie library i am gonna have to call shenanigans on them. i have scowered the tiny type and have not found an answer.

I'm not sure I understand the question. Movies have been available to purchase in HD via iTunes on a computer for some time, and to rent for about a month now.

you can buy those movies in the link you provided in HD, but when browsing the movies on iTunes, there are several MORE HD movies available but ONLY to be purchased thru an Apple TV, like The Dark Knight, which is only available in standard def on itunes from my MacBook, but the small print says, "also available in HD from Apple TV", so the question is "Is owning an Apple TV the only way to access this larger HD content library?" and if it is, that's horsecrap
