How to batch convert with Quicktime ??

I have over 2000 QT clips and now I need to export these clips with a specific codec and size..

Is there a way to batch export with quicktime ??

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.7)

Not sure about QT, but if you have Final Cut Studio, you can do a batch export out of FCP, using Compressor.

I don't know about QuickTime, but you can do it with Compressor. I don't have the exact steps but you create a droplet app which contains the settings you need. You can then drag and drop your files on the droplet and they will get converted.

You can use a program called MPEG Streamclip to batch Quicktime files:

I need to export multiple clips to Avid Meridien uncompressed codec with size 720 X 486.

I cant batch export with Quicktime and FCP will not batch export to Avids codec.

Any ideas ??

What do you mean by 'FCP will not batch export to Avids codec'?

If you select QT (custom) from the format drop-down menu in the batch export settings window, do you not get the avid codec options in the settings drop-down?

You need to go to Avid's web site and get the codec you need.

ah ok. I assumed you had the codecs but couldn't access them from the batch export options.

The Avid codec was installed when Media Composer was installed on my machine. So yes all the Avid codecs are right on the Quicktime library folder.

I can see it when doing a regular export out of FCP but I cant see the codec when using Batch or compressor ...

How can I make the codec appear on FCP batch export settings window ??

I had to create a Custom format on Compressor then it worked
