iDvd "Total Duration exceeds 15 Minutes"

I am working on a project on iDvd and it will not let me burn my project to a Dve because it says that the total menu exceeds 15 minutes. any ideas on how to fix this will be greatly appreciated.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.5.6)

Hi

a. What are You trying to do ? Video DVD, SlideShows or ?

b. What kind of material did You feed iDVD ?
• .avi, .wmv, .mpeg4, .mp3(audio)
• StreamingDV (miniDV tape), .aiff (audio) (16-bit 48kHz)
• Duration of each movie (add together incl menu => Max 120 minutes or 60 dep
on selected encoding quality)

Did you drop your entire project into a menu drop zone instead of into the background of the iDVD screen? The menu content is limited to 15 minutes; whereas, the total content of a project can be 2 hours.

I ran into this same issue the other day, when using sub-menus... Turns out the audio track for the sub-menu options were set to loop for the entire song duration... Add this up across the several sub-menus, and it clearly exceeds the 15 min menu duration limit within iDVD.

Limiting the audio loops to a shorter duration within all the sub-menus solved this issue for me.

Yes, you have to watch out for that...I should have mentioned it....sorry. I think it is the default setting to loop the entire song when you drag in an audio for the submenu.
