reading .mobi or .epub files in MAC

Hi, is there any free ebook reader software supporting .mobi or .epub file formats?

Macbook 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X (10.5.5)

Hi David,

Have you tried either Calibre or Stanza Desktop? I'm not sure if they'll fit the bill.

Thanks for the input. Stanza Desktop is free, but don't know if it is going to be free forever since the version you can download is beta. I have download it and works pretty nice. The other is a open application which I have not tried since Stanza seems to fit my needs.

Hi David,

My apologies. Stanza's FAQ does suggest that once beta testing is complete, a retail version will be released.

Then again, Amazon just purchased the Stanza parent company. Who knows that Amazon will do, since they may want to give away the razor (Stanza) and sell the blades (eBooks).

There is an experimental Mac OS port of FBReader ( http://fbreader.org/) available at http://gobunov.ru/projects.html.

I haven't used it, so cannot vouch for it, but it may be worth a try.
