I use the same Energiser 2500 mAh NiMH batteries, Jurgen. I find them fine for both the mouse and keyboard. As Bob says, even when fully charged they sit at a lower voltage than alkaline batteries, or the Energiser Lithiums that originally come with the bluetooth keyboard and mouse for that matter.
The NiMH's seem able to maintain a sustained load well though. With the lithiums, for example, I find that even when they still read 1.5V they are unable to keep the mouse running smoothly.
For me, I seem to have to recharge the mouse batteries every couple of weeks. The keyboard ones last much longer.
