how do i use my built in camera ?ichat?

i can't figure out how to use the built in camera on my imac--i want to converse and video conf w/a person who owns a pc. questions as follows:
1. where is the 'location' of the 'button' that allows me to use the camera?
2. must i set up a .mac account in order to use the camera?
3. can i use it w/windows messenger or AOL IM?
4. if i can't us it w/windows messenger or aol im, how do my friend w/the PC and I 'connect' on a common IM program?

intel based duo core, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

1. Launch iChat or Skype and start a video conversation; some other applications can also use the iSight.
2. No.
3. Use iChat on the Mac to communicate with people using AIM on a PC, or aMSN with people running MSN.

Also get them to turn Off Real Time if using AIM 6.5 or higher on a PC
