What's off track from these answers you've gotten, other than you don't like them?
Corporate events? Okay, provided you have a body of work behind you, a solid work ethic for a reputation that precedes you and no one is afraid to recommend you by word of mouth, you might, as a camera operator bring in 600 for 10 on the tippy top high end in my major market of Chicago, provided you provide your own gear. Think that's a lot? How much did your gear cost? How much was transportation? Did you make a deal for lodging or travel pay? Did you make a deal for overtime? Are you just a cam op or are you expected to do other things?
This is a question that can't be answered, especially in a technical support forum. It's subjective, what some folks consider real money, others do not, as simple as that.
Go back to school, become a lawyer or doctor, something where you can bill per hour what my rather high for my market dayrate is.
