Microkorg xl recording in garageband

Hi,

I am new to the forum and I have been trying to figure out how to record my microkorg xl in garageband. Currently, when I try to record the microkorg acts as a midi controller for garageband's software instruments. I downloaded the latest midi driver from the korg website but it hasn't seemed to help.

Does anyone record their microkorg xl in garageband? If so, how do you do it? Thanks!

if you use a MIDI connection that's all you can record:

I read another blog that suggests correctly that I can record the microkorg xl in garageband by connecting the headphone jack to the aux input of my computer.

Thanks for your help. I wonder if the procedure is the same for connecting a Korg Electribe MX to my computer? Do you know?
