"iPatch" freezes when patching Spore.
So I just got Spore today and installed it originally without any problems. Immediately after starting the game I went into the settings and tweaked them a little then quit Spore and re-launched it so they would take effect.
Upon relaunch the game told me some updates were available and asked if I would like to download them. I said I would. Updates downloaded fine and the game worked great (this was all during the "Cell" stage of the game.) During this early stage I restarted the game a couple more times, with each restart I was asked if I wanted to download another update, saying yes each time.
Then on the 3rd or 4th time being asked to update, after the update downloaded, it then automatically launched "iPatch" version 3.7.5 (I think) and started what appeared to be patching all the files. After about 15-20 minutes it got to the last little bit, like the last 1/10th and froze. Down in the dock, when right clicking on the Spore icon it said the program was not responding. After force quitting Spore, the iPatch then said it wasn't responding.
After this problem I tried re-installing the game. This time after starting the game, tweaking settings, and re-starting the game I was asked if I wanted to update. I said yes and instead of doing a normal update like the firs time, it when right to the "iPatch" again, and again froze at the same spot. If I remember right it said it has something to do with a "Soundfile 2" or something like that.
I'm well within the required specs for the game (unless me being on a laptop has anything to do with it), so I'm a little stuck. I can't find anything about it on EA's support site so I thought I'd try here.
Thanks
