Zip file repair - HELP!

I have a broken zip file that I'd like to extract files from. The problem is that there doesn't seem to be any Zip repair apps available for OSX. I'm floored by this because I can download 20 different windows apps that will repair a zip. If there's so many Windows apps that can do this then why isn't there just one for OSX? Am I looking in the wrong places? Please help!
