What is Iphone 3.0 OS, DSK all about?

What is iphone 3.0 OS and DSK all for? Is it a new Iphone or is it just software you can download or update? And What does OS, and DSK stand for?

OS = Operating System
SDK = Software Development Kit (It is for developers to use to create applications for the new OS. If you don't write software it is of no concern for you).

You will be able to upgrade your iPhone to OS version 3.0. If you have an original iPhone (2G) you will not get MMS (picture texts) and A2DP (stereo Bluetooth). If you have an iPhone 3g you will get these new features.

So as long as i have i-phone 3G ill be able to get everything foe the OS version 3.0?

That is correct. The iPhone 3G will have access to all the features in 3.0.

There are only two features provided to date that will be included with firmware update 3.0 for the iPhone 3G that won't be included for the first generation iPhone and those are MMS and A2DP.

not necessarily....

you will get most everything except for any features that require hardware that only a new iphone may have such as video recording capabilities, fm transmitter, etc.... but nobody knows what new hardware/features a new iphone could have since one hasn't been announced yet

Just a reminder, we cannot discuss rumors.

Based on current knowledge from the Apple keynote, all features of 3.0 will work on the 3G iPhone.

and i wasn't discussing any rumors... all i said was that previous phones won't get features that require specific hardware that may possibly be on a new phone.
