How Do I Enable the Equalizer for Music Videos?

one frustrating limitation of iTunes is you cannot use the audio equalizer when playing back music videos. so you are stuck with whatever audio mix they play "flat". even DVD Player and Quicktime Player on the other hand both let you make audio adjustments. so it has to be possible.

is there a Terminal command one can use to enable the equalizer for music videos? there are for other latent iTunes functions. i've searched the web as best i can but can't find anything about this.

Mac Mini Intel, Mac Mini PPC, iBook, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

I am in the same boat. I want to adjust the equalizer so that I can have the same tonal image as I do for my other non-itunes videos that I currently play with another player. Hey, support - this question was put forth two years ago. When are you going to respond and when are you going to fix this? I assumed that it was an oversight but, after so many upgrades, it would appear the you are simply ignoring this PROBLEM. I need this problem resolved in some way by support as I need to boost certain bands of freq's when listening on a commercial plane ride.
