What games were bundled with os9 ?

This is for a guru or die hard gamer that was playing on Macs around 1992 - 94. There was a game on Mac (LC475 - LC575) that I played at uni.

It starts off with a planet in space. There is nothing else. You click on the planet and get closer and closer with each click. Soon you are at like a Spaceport lounge where you are greeted by a alien. Thats all I can remember.

Its like Myst.You play the game by clicking around with your mouse to move forward or back, left or right...

Does anyone know it? Im desperate!!

I know some Mac system CDs had games "bundled" on the operating disc, like with the early 10.1 10.2 . Im pretty sure this was included on the disc with the LC Mac Is there a website that has this list?

Thanks - Had a look but none really describe a Myst kind of game play. The frustrating thing is, if I came across the title, it may not ring a bell with me. Where if someone told me, YES it is called "insert title here" then I could research it further.

Further memories I have of the game... There were no voices like typical games. It was like a soundscape. For example when you clicked to move into the spaceport, you could hear a background loop of people chatting, and airport type sounds etc..

Someone MUST know the game. Im sure it was bundled with all system 7 or 8 Macs at the time. Oh yes it was in color too.

Hi,

The only game I remember being remotely close was MDK and it came with Mac OS 8.5.
(I think)

Crystal Key, maybe?

Thanks for the help - Mmmm MDK doesnt look right
It MIGHT be Crystal Key. Ive found the cover on the net but searching for screenshots to jog my memory - Does anyone know if Crystal Key begins with just a planet in outer space, with nothing else? And you have to click each time on the planet to get closer, and closer, and closer etc....

My first Macintosh (I had a Laser 128K - Apple II compatible, back in 1985) was a Performa 6400CD, that I got back in 1996.

The only games I remember coming bundled with it was Eric's Solitaire Sampler, Power Pete (set in a toy store at night where the toys come to life), and Jigsaw Deluxe demo. We actually bought the full version of Jigsaw Deluxe (and as I upgraded my computer through the years, I kept Jigsaw Deluxe and my wife still plays it regularly on our iMac G5 under Classic).

You aren't talking about an early version of Marathon are you? A first person shoot'em up game.

There was a game called Galactic Trader, where you zoomed from planet to planet, buying items from one planet, selling it at another.

Click on the link that says 00index.txt, for a brief description of the games found there. Final Frontier sounds similar to Galactic Trader. Star Patrol sounds like a possiblity, or maybe Space Station Pheta.

I've always liked the MYST series, they're so serene compared to FPSs.

Judging by this thread responses, you are not really looking for bundled games that came with OS9 but, OS 7 & 8?

System 8 wasn't out when the LC575 came out. I've asked a moderator to move the thread.

lol, there's so many games out there. It could take practically forever to find
a game no one is completely sure came bundled with the system or no. (Maybe a clone system)

Maybe it was Space Ace?

The game I was after is a Myst type movement game.
