MPD16 MAC OS 10.5.6 Leopard

I have a MPD16 but it isnt able to synchronize with my macbook which is running 10.5.6 Leopard
Having the AKAI's mac utility software downloaded and installed, the software doesn't seem to run at all (jus the icon showing, no windows popping up)
Are there any solutions?
I think there are quite a lot of MPD16 users out there scratching their head trying to figure out a solution.
MPD16 seems to work on Windows and Mac OS Tiger
Are Apple and AKAI going to fix the solution?

I would contact Akai. They have software which indicates it is 10.3.9 PowerPC, and 10.4.4 Intel and 10.4.4 PowerPC compatible (on their website where it says Universal, that means at least compatible with 10.4.4). If you have an Intel Mac, you get full native Windows support with a variety of virtualization engines, including Apple's own Boot Camp which is 10.5 compatible. See my FAQ* on virtualization:

Back on January 2008, an article on this forum says a driver will come for Leopard:

I would Google MPD16 and Leopard 10.5 and see what you come up with.
