I use Comcast as my email provider. Within the phone settings I have it set to "delete from server when removed from inbox". Not only does it NOT delete emails (i.e. spam) from the server, but sometimes when I go to check for new mail on the phone, it re-downloads those emails I previously deleted. Has this happened to anyone else?

My Comcast email account does NOT do this...BUT both my Yahoo email addresses do this all the time. Even if I go on my PC and log into my Yahoo accounts and delete my emails there, they still will eventually redownload onto my iPhone! I have no clue as to why...but it does get old having to delete the same emails over again!

How do we fix this then? I also don't get certain
    emails from people too?

I have the same problem (gmail account). I get old e-mails I have already deleted and items from my spam folder put back in my inbox and then pushed to my Blackberry. Very annoying.
