Wireless printing for HP PSC 2510 Photosmart All-in-one

Hello,

I am a fairly new user to a MacBook (the previous generation to the new one) and am trying to configure my macbook to "wirelessly" print from my HP PSC 2510 Photosmart All-in-one printer.

I have installed the necessary driver software from HP's website and did download the recent Mac OS X software update concerning HP printer problems. I was successful to print via USB but not through wireless. I am not familiar with configuring any settings on my mac, like I said, I am a fairly new user to the mac software.

If it pertains to anything, listed below is my router information:

First, not all HP printer drivers support wireless printing. If you installed the Gutenprint drivers on your computer then look for a Gutenprint driver for your model. If you find one try using it instead. Gutenprint drivers often support wireless printing better on HP printers.

Second, do you have the printer connected to a USB port on the router or one of your computers? In each case it may be required that you enable Printer Sharing in order to have the printer shared across the network. If the printer is connected to a computer, then Printer Sharing must be enabled on that computer. Other computers on the network should then see it as a shared printer which they can Add via Print & Fax preferences. Each computer must have the printer's driver and would select it when Adding the printer.

Third, you may need to have your router operate on 802.11n or 802.11b/g mode rather than 802.11n only. Not too many devices support the 802.11n mode wireless.
