How to overlap audioclips....

Hi,

I do apologise if there is a similar topic in this forum, but I honestly could not find what I was looking for.
I recently upgraded from iLife 06 to iLife 09, and I am struggling with iMovie.

I got all the titles, images, clips etc right, but when trying to overlap songs, I am not sure how to do it. In iMovie 06 HD you had two bars where you could have your different songs, overlap... but i can't seem to do this in 09.

When I drag the audioclip onto the project window, it comes up as a green background behind all the clips, although I have seen screenshots on the internet where the audioclip looks like a bar at the bottom, and then you darg them to overlap.

Is it possible to have audio to overlap in iMovie09? It just sounds so bad when you have a song finish and fade out with a second or two silence before the next song starts. It seems to be not as flexible as iMovie HD?

Yes, you can do this. Rather then drag the audio into the background, you can drag the audio onto a specific clip. Then drag the second audio track onto another specific clip. You can then move them to the left or right, overlap, or whatever.
