AutoCad 2004 on my iMac G5?

Does anyone have AutoCad 2004 on a Macintosh? It looks like I need to buy some software for my iMac G5, AutoCad 2004, Windows XP and Virtual PC 7. That's allot of money to see if AutoCad will run on my Mac.
Later,
Mac Ray

Hey mate,

Sorry to tell you this but I believe AutoCAD doesn't come in a mac version. Check out AutoDesk's site. We run AutoCAD 2006 at work, and I'm getting a 20" g5 2ghz iMac in november. Wish it was made for the mac! That would be great, but I can live without it on a Mac. Cya,

I'm pretty sure Autocad is one of those programs that simply can't be used under Virtual PC, Mac Ray [edit- it seems some people have had success with it in more recent times]. The best place for advice about CAD on the mac, though is Architosh - http://www.architosh.com/

Do you specifically need AutoCAD or could you use one of the Mac compatible CAD programs that will run "native"?

Cheers

Rod
