Command Line Interface in OS 8

I recently picked up an old school iMac G3 (1st Gen, orange). Just did a system restore of OS 8, so everything is fresh.

First time I've bombed around in OS 8, so I'm having problems finding the command line interface. Can someone point me in the right direction? Or at least a suggestion for a good CLI I can download?

Well OS8.6 in particular was known as the most secure OS ever because it did not allow any CLI.

There have been a few 3rd party CLIs for Mac since System 7, CLIM (Comm Line Inter Mac) was an old one, maybe even System 6 days,

But I think you may just want to know about AppleScript. It's not a command line, but it does allow almost everything you would want to do on a command line, just you have to write a simple script to do it,
