Using garageband with the Zoom ZFX s2t usb interface

Question

Using garageband with the Zoom ZFX s2t usb interface

G'day guys,

I'm wondering if anyone would know how to get garageband to recognise the Zoom ZFX interface. I've done all the obvious things such as selecting it in the system preferences also in the Garageband preferences but nothing registers input-wise. Doesn't seem to be any new drivers on Zoom's website,
can anyone help?

If your able to select it Garageband Preferences then it is already working. Did you choose real instrument track, select the correct input channel make sure the track in record enabled?

Create a Basic Track (Real Instrument Track) and open the Track Info pane. There you use the Input Source drop-down to choose the channel of your interface to record on that track (use the mono channels).

Thanks again. I remembered I did try this, none of the input channels produce any sound. Hm..

What are you using to monitor from, your Mac or the Zoom? Did you choose this output in garageband preferences? Is the track record enabled?

I'm trying to use my mac, so I'm selecting 'internal speakers' as my output but still nothing. No surprise though because no sound is registering on those little colour bar things (I don't know the proper name but they go up and down in response to the sound level). I've tried track record on and off.

Can you hear the input signal if you monitor direct from the Zoom?

Do you have the gains and output levels on the zoom turned up?

Do you have the correct input set (HiZ, Mic, Line)?
