You can Control-click the image and choose Format Picture. Change the size or scale under the Size tab.
I am composing a simple advertisement in Word. The image size (what I am working with on the screen) is too big to fit within the ad specs, so I want to be able to take what I have, shrink it, and print the shrunken image. I tried doing this by reducing the screen size (in the upper rh corner of the menu) from 100%, but while that reduces the screen image, the printed image is still 100%. Can anyone help?

Thanks, Ryan, but I wasn't clear about what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to resize the entire image--the picture plus the copy all together. Your suggestion only lets me resize the picture in the ad.
Basically, the problem is that I have an ad that is too big. I want to reduce the entire thing by 50%. I can do that on the screen using the % box in the upper right hand corner, but when I print that , it comes out the original full size. I want it to print in the reduced size.

Ah, ok. You can do that from within File>Page Setup. Either reduce the scale from 100% or change the page size to match whatever size paper you're printing on.
