After update to 10.4.11 X11 problems

On my iMac G5 I "faithfully" accepted the latest security update. X11 wont start xterm. The crash report looks like this:

Host Name: xxxxxxx
Date/Time: 2009-05-29 09:36:39.595 -0400
OS Version: 10.4.11 (Build 8S165)
Report Version: 4

Command: xterm
Path: /usr/X11R6/bin/xterm
Parent: quartz-wm [303]

Version: ??? (???)

PID: 304
Thread: Unknown

Link (dyld) error:

Library not loaded: /usr/X11R6/lib/libexpat.0.dylib
Referenced from: /usr/X11R6/lib/libfontconfig.1.dylib
Reason: image not found
********
Other x11 applications like xlogo wont start and so on. The only application I could start was xman. Obviously there is a library incompatibility. Any clues ?

AWESOME! This fixed it for my PowerBook G4 (10.4.11)--circa 2004. I just had to link the file to the fictitious file name it is looking for-

It has been a difficult few weeks since that update. I don't like Terminal as much as X11.

I hope Apple gurus at Apple pay attention to this thread and keep this in mind for future upgrades. PowerPC laptops need love too!

Thanks guys~
