Add additional video cam

How can I add an additional video cam to replace the iSight cam? I have the camera connected through USB to my iMac - but still shows the iSight camera. Can I disable the iSight and enable the connected cam? New cam is a Logitech

iMac, Mac OS X (10.4.11), iChat 3.1.9

Hi,

First of all do you mean that in iChat Menu > Preferences > Video Section you do not get a choice of camera in the additional Drop down that appears when two cameras are available ?

Which Logitech ?
Is it UVC (USB Video Class) compliant (Vista Certified)
It will also be USB 2.0 if it is.

Does you Mac have USB 2.0 ?
(some Mac Keyboard ports do not)

If the Logitech is NOT USB 2.0 and NOT UVC compliant then you will need a Mac Drive and iUSBCam (i.e it could be USB 2.0 but not UVC compliant and you need it to be both)
