If the Canvas window is still in view, select Window>Timeline or press cmd-3. If the Canvas is gone, too, you don't have an open Sequence. Try this: From the FCE menu bar, select Window>Arrange>Standard If that doesn't do the trick, your FCE Preferences may have gotten corrupted.
