Any ideas? I've tried a reset. Nothing!

I would try downloading and using this utility to restore your iPod shuffle. Hope it helps.

Note that the Reset Utility does NOT work on Windows Vista...

If you know someone with an XP windows machine try the reset utility on their computer.
