C4, C5 etc. on the Garageband keyboard (Clavier)

The key marked C4 on the keyboard of Garageband corresponds to C5 on my KORG tuning musical fequency meter. And the C5 to C6. This makes life very difficult as a muscian trying to use Garageband as a tool to improve my playing and learn theory of music.

The next note up from C4 on the keyboard is D5 and corresponds to D5 on my frequency meter. Which is correct: the keyboard or the frequency meter ?

Thanks.

Are you using an external keyboard controller to play software instruments in GB? if so, it could be that your keyboard controller has become transposed (since many offer this as an option and you may have triggered it unintentionally). If that's the problem, you could either un-transpose it or reset it back to factory defaults to fix it.
