As stated above, look in Address Book for your "Me" card with your information on it. There is a picture there that is the same as what you see in the upper right hand corner of a new message when you are composing it, or when viewing mail addressed to and received by you. It is not transmitted with your outgoing messages. It is fluff and glitter for your "benefit" only. Yes, hard copy print would be a problem. So if you don't like looking at your picture, or don't want it on paper copy printouts of messages, then I think that you can either edit your "Me" Address Book card to delete the picture, or else I know for sure that you can delete your "Me" card from Address Book altogether, and then you'll no longer get the annoying little picture in your new compositions window.
Personally, I already know my own contact information so I deleted my "Me" card in its entirety, although I did export a VCF card of it that I use as one of my email signatures, before I did so.
