Need to change Itunes account on my Ipod Touch that my boyfriend set up??

My boyfriend brought me an Ipod Touch for my birthday! I havent got Itunes at home anymore so he set it up and put all my music on for me - i went to download some stuff from the apps store and itunes store from the ITouch, but it kept coming up asking for his account password. How do i change it to my own itunes account i used to have? My old computer i think still has my account on it, but it's not connected to the internet, do i need to sync it with this first...although i thought you can only attach you ITouch to one account!! Help!! I need new music!

you can't control the itunes account from your ipod until 3.0 comes out.

What is 3.0? - i'm not really up with the Apple Lingo!

3.0 is new iPod touch and iphone software which is going to be released in the 'summer,' which promises to make the iPod touch and iPhones even more exciting than thay already are: http://www.apple.com/iphone/preview-iphone-os/

When you sync your iPhone or iPod touch with your computer, the account last used to access the iTunes Store from the computer is synced to the mobile device for use in the iTunes Store from the device as well. This same account is used for the App Store as well. This account will be used on the device for both stores until you sign in from your computer to the iTunes Store with a different account, and then resync your mobile device with the computer.
